The shot then cuts to a medium POV shot of a TV. They have sound bridged the over voice on the under water shots to this shot as it was of a man talking on the TV.
There is a close up, low angle shot of the grandma (Rose) looking down at the picture that they have found. It lasts quite a few seconds which makes the audience really try to understand what she is thinking. This is because it would mean quite a lot to Rose to be looking at that image as it would be likely to bring back memories that we are yet to find out.
Rose is also seen in another close up shot as she looks into the camera. There is a voice over of the man who is searching for the diamond say "Are you ready to go back to Titanic?" this makes the audience feel as if they are along the journey with Rose and all the other passengers that experienced such a devastation.
We are shown a head shot of Rose when she is younger in a big purple hat and white clothing, this makes her look very rich. The way she looks at the boat can make the audience feel that she is quite spoilt as she doesn't look impressed or excited at all compared to the people surrounding her. There is a huge contrast in clothing and expression between the working class and high class that we see straight away. This is because all of the working class are shown wearing brown clothes, all looking the same, however they also look extremely excited as they wave of there family and people of Ireland.
We are shown a shot of Jack (Leonardo Dicaprio) look over at Rose (Kate Winslet) and her cannot take his eyes of her however she does not seem that interested. this makes the audience think that your different classes really show who you can be friends with and who you cant be. As Rose is shown from a low angle shot, this makes her look more important as the audience feel as if they are looking up at her.
Lots of short clips of Rose and Jacks love life is shown in the trailer. This is a USP as they will attract certain audiences, stereotypically would be 15-25 year old females. By showing there love life it makes the audience feel as if they have a connection with the couple as they can relate there love life to the one being shown, or even imagine that they are in Rose/Jacks position.
The non- diegetic sound begins to get faster and more tense as Rose Fiancé finds out about her and Jack. This suggests to the audience that something else might go wrong as well as him finding out. The music then gets even more tension building when the ice burg is spotted. This makes the audience realise its not just a happy romantic story.
Long shots are shown of the boat sinking. This lets the audience see what is actually happening and can make them feel like they are actually there. They are then able to see the panic of everyone on the boat making it have an even bigger effect on them. The shots become faster and faster as the trailer goes on.
The end shot is of the boat underwater again. This shows the audience the ending without telling them what happens to the couple. This makes the audience intrigued and leaves an enigma as they are left unknowingly.
